Mountain Lab Backcountry Chainsaw

When you’re off-grid, heavy power tools are useless. You need something simple, effective, and reliable. That’s why we designed this manual chainsaw — for when a fallen log blocks your path and the only option is muscle.

• Serrated chain design: The teeth are engineered to bite into wood aggressively but flex under tension — so you get efficient cuts without binding.
• Length & portability: At a total length of 41? and serrated length of 25?, you get maximum reach with minimal bulk. The whole kit stows in a pouch you can carry in your pack.
• Handles: We picked flexible but strong handles so you can apply force comfortably, even with gloves.
• Field-proven performance: Tested in thick timber and cold conditions, in snow, rain, and mud. We counted not just how fast it cuts — but how long it endures, how easy it is to re-stow, and how likely you are to reach for it first.

Key features:

• Total length: 41?
• Serrated chain length: 25?
• Handle length: 7?
• Weight: ~4.3 oz (4.9 oz with pouch)
• Includes storage pouch
