Built for rugged snowmobile rides, the Mountain Lab Knee/Shin Pads offer a balance of solid protection and natural mobility. With a hard outer shell and stretch-leg straps, they stay in place without pinching behind the knee or cramping your calves.
Sold as pair.
Stay-put design: We prioritized leg straps that stretch instead of slip, so the pad stays centered during long rides or aggressive moves — no shifting side-to-side.
Mobility without compromise: The shell gives you hard-cap protection while the stretch material around your legs lets you bend, kneel, and move freely without restriction.
Comfort for long wear: Riders told us that pads sometimes pinch the calves — we eliminated that by using flexible straps that don’t constrict, even over boots.
Testing & Real-Use ScenariosCold, long rides: Tested on snowmobile trips through frosty terrain — straps kept their elasticity and didn’t harden or irritate, even after hours. High-movement maneuvers: During aggressive riding (cornering, standing up, and leaning), the pads remain firmly in place, protecting the shin without wobble. Impact protection: With a tough outer shell, these pads withstand repeated bumps from trail obstacles, foot pegs, and snow spray without cracking or shifting.
When You’ll Get Full Value Out of ItEvery ride with risk: When you're riding terrain that could send debris, branches, or snow spray up at your legs. Long-distance touring or backcountry: When you wear gear all day, comfort and secure fit matter as much as protection. Rider style that demands mobility: If you stand, shift weight, or brace often — these pads let you move naturally. Cold conditions: The stretchy straps stay flexible and your shins stay protected without bulk or stiffness.
